Hi guys

Great news OAU about betting shops closing, are are far too many. I know a lot will close as my friend is an area manager of Lad is Broke and says many shops are machine shops, meaning most of their revenues comes from machines. So, it is fair to say that these shops will be no more, HOORAY.

As far as I am concerned, they belong in a casino.

Hi Bella

Never thought for one minute you are gambling, you are too strong now, besides lots of people like myself look up to you for inspiration.

Well done on weight loss, that’s half a stone, SW is great that way as you lose weight nice and slow without being on a restricted diet.

Keep going you are doing great.

Shaun

Never in my life been told I inspire anyone, thank you for saying that, very kind.

This week I've bought throws for my sofa, small circle tables to put plants on, wellibob crocs (haha) for the garden. Today planted plants in the garden. Bought a dress for the posh wedding.

Life just feels so much better now. And so you know you inspired me to continue gamble free. So you keep going.

Vegas I am scared for you. But! Being around my sister and she's tells off the cuff on a 1.5k win I just think she's gambled daily for 12 yrs and she doesn't even brag on a win these days, that's not enjoyment, as she felt she was owed it. And not a sense in me when I left hers to want to gamble I hope you get the same feeling?

Big hugs.
Bella xx

Hi guys

Yes Bella, anybody that can have setbacks and not take the easy route of gambling is an inspiration to all. Not even thought of excuses for not going to Vegas yet, probably not a good idea, lol.

The weekend is here guys, let’s enjoy it and not add to the stresses of life after a big loss.

Hi all

Start of another gamble free week ahead of us, well done to everyone.

Was in Birmingham city centre yesterday, that is where they are trialing the £2 a spin on the FOBT’s ahead of next weeks ruling. Wow, nearly every bookie I saw inside was empty, ordinarily on a Sunday afternoon they are rammed.

Sign of things to come, let’s hope so because we want our high streets back!

Hi guys

Middle of the week, well done all who have made it this far, only a few more days and another week chalked off. Give yourselves a ground of applause, not easy with life’s stresses to keep on the straight and narrow and not take the easy option.

Yay Shaun!

Day 200.. That would be £200! Chaching.. Primarnie spends.

I keep looking at my GF funds and wondering do I spend it or keep it. I will save it for Christmas presents I think. I get weighed tomorrow. How are you doing with your weight loss?

Have a fabulous Friday and weekend.

Hi all

Well it’s official, as from today the FOBT’s stake is cut from £100 to £2. Long overdue in my opinion, now let’s see these buggers start to close so our high streets look like they should.

Fabulous news especially on 1st April.. April Fool's day! Great reminder of the fools we were chasing the gold at the end of promised rainbows.

Shocking it was £100 a spin.

Have a fabulous week.

Hi guys

Yes Bella it was £100 a spin. If you google ‘bookies roulette losses’, you will read stories about people losing thousands in a session. Shocking how the staff at these bookies allowed it considering they promote ‘responsible gambling’.

Hi Shaun,

I went and read the letsbeatthebookies blog... o*g! One guy who said he use to work in a bookies said this..
'There's only one winner with FOBTs and it's not the punter. It never will be. In my view they should be removed.'
He also said it was hard to watch people be obsessed with that final loss.

Heartbreaking to read this losses. I never understand how it worked so never got interested in that machine. But reading the stories can feel a sense of unnerving sadness. The addiction is real whatever the machine was. Maybe hunnie you need to read the losses before deciding Vegas. I'm really worried for you. We both been here before, gave up for a few years then it started again. Not safe yet my friend.

Yes diet binge is better than a gamble. Still very gutted I've ruined my 8 losses straight with a 2lb gain.. But yes have 2 days to get strict with P&SP and lots of water. If only to get a maintain.

Thank you for the encouragement.
Have a gf clear day.
Bella xx

Hi all

Very sad are the stories of people with life changing losses, in a way I feel lucky. By that I mean at least I managed to get out and not lost my business, home and more importantly family.

Sobering thought for all reading this, have a nice weekend folks, speak soon.

Hi guys

Doesn’t it feel good, start of another week and we are not worried or in a zombie state because we have had horrendous losses over the weekend because of gambling.

Keep up the fight and stay winning at gambling by not participating.
