Wow, can’t believe I’m back here in another hole.

So, now and again my friend lets me place a bet on his account. I send him a small amount and he deposits. Harmless right as what I can spend is controlled.

I am signed up to gamstop so can’t play anywhere with my own funds and it has been some what of a success up until this point.

Last night while on the account ...

I completely lost control and feel sick to my stomach.

I know I only have my self to blame and it’s my fault, but I’m so angry how this has been able to happen. Surely making sure a deposit method is in the account name should be protocol, as I’m sure it would be with any kind of withdrawal!

Back to square one again.

Hi,

You need to be open and honest with your freind so they do not let you have access under any circumstance.

You said you only gave small amounts to them to deposit for you but obviously you must have used your own method in the end to deposit that much. You might want to consider getting a banking block on your bank accounts if you have a bank account that allows this.

Its easy to want to blame the gambling companies such as well with saying they should have checked the deposit name. But ultimatly you were pretending to be someone else by accessing their account. You also have a responsibilty for your recovery. So one way forward is making sure your freind is willing to support by not enabling you which if there a good freind they will understand that.

Best way into recovery is to stop all forms of gambling. When you sre a problem gambler its impossible to do controlled gambling with small amounts. Trust me i also relapsed once when i thought i could control it with small amounts..it just leads to you to escalating untill you realise you have lost it all.

You need to stop all forms of gambling.
