Problem signing up to Gamstop

Hi everyone,

Has anyone else struggled to sign up to Gamstop? I have tried speaking to an advisor and numerous attempts online but it has been unsuccessful in verifying me.

I was gamble free for a while and had a relapse a few days ago. Fortunately I managed to stop myself before it got into four figure numbers and I even acknowledged what set me off on a reckless spree over a few hours; a small football bet which escalated into bigger stakes and riskier odds until eventually I lost - literally a last minute chance that was missed and ultimately lost me the money. So, (as you might expect) I began chasing the loss until I found myself depositing a further 100 pounds for the 6th transaction in the space of an hour. Put the full 100 on a live blackjack hand hoping it would lose; sounds crazy but I’m sure most of you are familiar with that feeling of hoping a bet loses because you just want the gambling period to end.

I immediately self excluded and went down the Gamstop route but have had no luck in being verified.

Any my advice would be appreciated and good luck to everyone on your recovery

Jacob

Call them or email them and ask them to send you the registration form by email. I failed the online questions about when you last took out credit card, loans etc.... It's took under a week in total to complete the whole process mate x

No problem mate thanks for the advice I will give that a try. Same thing happened to me with the online questions I’ve also moved house a couple of times in the past 5 years and it couldn’t seem to find me.

Just bought the Overcoming Gambling Addiction book by Alex Blaszczysnki, seen someone on here had recommended it and it received a lot of positive reviews.
