One Positive: I am one of the luckiest people alive today

Because

One Gratitude: I live in England where I am free to speak my truth and voice my objection to things I disagree with. I can freely come and go in relative safety. I have access to unlimited fresh drinking water. Food of every description is available to me. The country provides me with an adequate state pension which together with my works pension should allow me to enjoy retirement free from financial concerns. Free healthcare is available to me whenever I need it. I even have a pensioners bus pass for free unlimited travel on the buses.

One Positive: I got everything on my to-do list done this weekend. I take pride in that.

One Gratitude: My senses. Not everyone is blessed with all of them. I am thankful for all I see, hear, smell, touch and taste.

I did it! 🙂

One Positive: It is not too late for me to make a fresh start in life.

One Gratitude: Despite all my foolishness in the past, I now have the opportunity to have some fun and give my life purpose and meaning.

One Positive: A well-deserved break from day work today. I really enjoyed my walk with the dog. I am pleased that she ate breakfast, dinner and supper and seems a happy puppy.

One Gratitude: I am grateful for my Gamcare family today. All of the mod's and helpers and admins and recovery buddies. You help me stay strong when I am having wobbles and I keep making the right choices every day. Thank you! x

Positive: I have a new found steely determination that seems to surface when I most need it to.

Gratitude: I am grateful for our health service, organisations like Gamcare and others who are there for people in crisis. Above all I am grateful for the comfort, wisdom and support I get from GamCare recovery buddies.

Positive: I haven't thought about gambling today. It's been a challenging day and it dawned on me that I don't even wanna do it. That's cool.

Gratitude: I am thankful for my home. It's nice to be here.

One Positive: I found a pair of Craghoppers in the charity shop for £2.99. They are a size 12R. I own a pair already that are 8R but I haven't fit in them since I did the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. I have made my peace with this. I don't have the stamina to do 24.8 miles in 11 hours anymore but I do have a nice warm pair of trousers to wear to the Football that will help me avoid Arthritic pain from the cold.

One Gratitude: I am thankful to Gamcare for giving me Debbie for all the time they did. I was so angry mad this last week over not having her anymore but now I'm in the zone to just be ever so grateful for that support when I really needed it and in truth, I don't need it anymore. I've got this.

One Positive: There are many hobbies, pastimes and projects that I can engage in, which will keep me occupied in a productive, meaningful and pleasurable way.

One Gratitude: I am grateful because the urges to gamble seem to be decreasing as I become more involved in my hobbies and other harmless stuff. Am now feeling more relaxed and confident whilst my self esteem has improved.

One Positive: I was already self excluded from 40 plus betting shops in my area but am now also self excluded from every gambling establishment in my city which includes arcades and bingo halls.

One Gratitude: To the staff at the arcade where I gambled on Friday. They were really understanding, sympathetic and helpful on Saturday when I asked them to self exclude me. They did it all on a tablet including photograph and a couple of hours later I received a confirmation email.
