Hi, I have had a problem with gambling for about 12 years now. I am on a debt management plan currently. Two years ago I had fully stopped gambling. Completely. This time lads year I relapsed.

borrowed tens of thousands of pounds on family credit cards which I’m ashamed of. I have forgotten the c**P feeling I used to once live with every day of my life. Please any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Dear @twominds,

Thank you for your recent post and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear things are difficult for you and that you're feeling this way.

Problem gambling can impact negatively in many ways, the way you're feeling and the debt are just two of many detrimental affects it can cause.

Please feel free to call our helpline on 0808 8020 133 or access our Netline via our GamCare website so we can talk through things together. We're open day and night so you can always get through to us.

You may also like to join one of our daily chatroom's that open from 1pm until 2pm and then again from 8pm until 9pm with an extended closing time of 21:30pm every Sunday evening.

Kindest Regards

Joanne

Close your bank account and open a Monzo account and ask them to block gambling transactions thats what i have done. The only way to gamble then is to ask them to ‘allow’ gambling transactions but that only happens after 48 hours. I am to ashamed to ask them and if I did then within 24 hours I would feel guilty and change my mind back to blocking gambling transactions anyway
