Hi,

Last month I joined a site that is not on Gamstop and have lost between 1k and 2k. I have permanently banned myself before and explicitly asked them never to let me reopen my account. Thus did not work however and inwas able to reopen it. I have now closed it again and asked the same question but I doubt they will keep to their word as they know they will get more money out of me.

Has anybody else had a similar situation? I'm quite scared that inl will always go back to this as it is always possible to reopen my account.

Good evening Brian,

Welcome to the Forum, I am really sorry to hear you have lost that money and can understand your concerns that you may be feel tempted to reopen that account.

Have you considered any other tools to help you? For example blocking software works well alongside Gamstop and it's now possible to block gambling transactions through a lot of banks too. If you do find yourself struggling with urges to gamble we can recommend some free 1 to 1 treatment, one of our Advisers who would be happy to go through all your options with you on either 0808 8020 133 or via our Netline

Kind regards

ChrisK

I have had the same issue. One casino site lets me open as many accounts as i like as long as i have a different email. I am now banking with Monzo who are very helpful. They will block the transactions for you. They are always ready to help. They have blocked this site for me plus i have reduced my daily transaction limit to £250 which is a great help . Hope this helps

I have the same problem and that was two years ago. If they are not on Gamstop then they will do anything no matter what they say to you.

A little update on this one.

Regrettably I had the urge to reopen my account however I'm glad to say they did not allow me to this time as per my previous instructions.

Hopefully it will lead to a fresh start.
