Never felt like I was going to have a bet on anything again, all block were in place then suddenley from nowhere I found myself in a bookies (which I never go in) on the way home form work.

The semi good news is in comparision is was small loss in the fact , its not amount that will hurth me (for now) and I feel so bad for doing it as in guilt.

However I steel feel determined to beat this we go again.

Day 1 starts here again

Hi josephaustin. Any idea what tempted you? I presume you regularly go past bookies, so what are you going to do next time to resist? Get a plan in place, use the guilt and hurt you feel now to stop yourself next time. But to get something out of this, you had the guts to come straight back, don't give up hope, dust yourself down and go again

Thanks so much for the reply.

I havent had day since quitting where the tempation wasnt there, i think it all falls down to complancy.

You think once you hit a certian point you are immune, I had gone to work not even considered betting in a bookies have not been in one for 5 years, as my gambling was on line.

Then suddenly I was in there on the betting terminal.

I dont know if there is a way to exclude from betting shops as I thought this wasn't even a temptation for me

Hi  yes there is a way to self exclude from bookies I believe it's called MOSES . Best to cover all bases as when the urge is bad anything is tempting even things you've never done before

Hey Josephaustin

I would say be thankful it wasn't too much you lost.

Take every day as a new day and move forward

I've only been clean very recently and nearly fell off the wagon tonight so I completely understand.

I've self excluded myself from so many sites but, as you know, you can always find another one

Please don't beat yourself up as it could only lead to worse.

Sazzle

@sazzle2020

Hi, I am newly clean and I signed up to gamstop which bars you from every single gaming and online bookmaker in the UK. It's really good and all week I have been getting emails from obscure bookmakers I didn't even know I had accounts with telling me my account had been closed.

If online gambling is your problem it is definitely worth looking into

@josephaustin so what do you do differently this time? Nothing wrong in making a mistake as long as you learn from it.

Chris.
