Join a group called ‘beat the balliffs and Banks’ on Facebook. They will help you out.

Hi Curtis004

For anyone who is struggling with debt, we would advise contacting one of the organisations in the Finance & Debt section of our website.

Here's a link to a page on our website with more information and organisations who can help and who don't charge for their services.

https://www.gamcare.org.uk/self-help/finance-and-debt-management/

Cat, thanks very much for posting a suggestion for Curtis. The problem with Facebook groups is that anyone can set one up. There's no guarantee that those posting advice are qualified to do so, and that they will not charge for their services. You can't see what's being posted until you join, and in the case of the one you mentioned, there are several groups on Facebook with similar names, which makes it even harder to check out who they are and what they do.

Best wishes

PS, we're also going to move this topic to the 'Overcoming Problem Gambling' section as it's more of a request for advice rather than a debate.

I found it via google to dispute a debt with XXXX you need to contact them and request the following like account opening date, default date, date and value of last payment. For some accounts such as bank accounts, you can ask where the account was opened. For some accounts such as bank accounts or credit cards, you can ask how the account was opened, For some accounts such as catalogs, you can ask the address the account was opened at and the last item ordered, For some accounts such as hire purchase, you can ask the make, model and color of the car.

and if you can't afford to pay your debt you still need to contact them.
