Wow well I made it this far, ive got blocks in place , got people to talk , ive made all the right noises but ive got paid including a big fat bonus this month and the urges wont stop.

Ive been told to replay the scenerio in your mind of what has happened before and what is likley infact not likley but what will happen if do it again, but christ this is hard.

Im going through bad times with mrs too so the thought of gambling is making me feel it will numb the pain, when in fact i know it will make it all worse.

The easiest thing I find is leaving bank cards credit cards and cash as far away as possible I literally only use Apple Pay for things now it won’t work for me in the bookies and even if it did I think the most you can do is £30 so there’s not much point in it. Good luck you can do it!

@josephaustin

In your first post about a month ago you said you had switched to a Monza account. Have you done that as that will help against not being able to bet.

The other more obvious solution is to transfer the money to someone. Your wife, your parents, someone you can't coerce into giving it back except for what you need. If not your wife if you're going through a hard time then someone else. Anyone else just so the money isn't in your account and the temptation and urges go.

Does that help?

Chris.

In fairness you’ve said it yourself in the post...you know deep down it will make your situation a whole lot worse. It really is hard but I guess that’s the point, you’re attempting to shut down a strong addiction. It will take some effort and hard work but the positives far outweigh any short term negatives.
