Today has been a strange day. Full of reflection on how I became this sad pathetic addict. Lots of tears and soul searching. Have telephone assessment tomorrow and am praying they can help me sort out my confused depressed brain. Am struggling with self hatred and shame but as I say baby steps. But the worse thing is trying to explain to my 24 year old son why I relapsed yet again. But to end today's dairy on a positive note at least he spoke to me today and explained how I had made him feel. Which absolutely broke me. And we agreed that only time and honesty will re build our relationship. It will take me a long time to rebuild the trust and support this addiction has destroyed. But baby steps and it will happen. Have a good gamble free day everyone

Thank you it is a daily struggle for each and everyone of us on this site. But reading all your stories and receiving comments like yours makes it so much easier to know I am not alone.

I know what you're going through. It can be sheer hell at times. Then the sun shines and life isn't so bad. I hope you get the help you need.

Good luck Trace, I set up gamstop but found a way around to have a quick 20 pound which turned into £300. I've now installed gameban on my phone, 100% would recommend, can't access gambling sites at all now, takes the urges away

My son was the same, I was so selfish and didn't realise how much it affected him, but we're now all good ?

Wishing you all the best xx

Thank you will look into installing gamban. Had my telephone assesment today and feel so much better talking openly and honestly probably for the first time in years. She was truly amazing, and the relief that I will soon be getting counselling feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. My family were also relieved. They are not convinced I will see it through but I will show them and hopefully when they see I mean it things at home will improve. I truly hope so and then maybe I can feel better about my self. Good luck for another gamble free day tomorrow everyone.
