just looking for someone who understands the pain and turmoil I feel I am in at the moment

my husband has had a gambling problem for probably most of his adult life, we got married about 2 years ago and had our baby 10 months ago, his gambling seems to come in 3-6 month cycles and whilst being a huge problem seemed to be a bit more manageable however on Monday he never came home from work and have barely heard from him since he’s not with family or friends so we have no idea where he is and he hasn’t called or messaged apart from turning up at the house looking for money a few days ago. I feel like my life has been turned upside down and a trail of destruction has been left for me to just pick up the pieces and get on with life and looking after our baby, once minute I’m fine the next I feel like my world is a complete mess and I can’t cope and no idea how to move forward. I wonder will I hear from him again will he be in our child’s life?! Or is that just it I will never see or hear from him again. It’s so painful and whilst family and friends are really supportive no one really understands how it feels to live without any explanation and to be left to pick up the pieces!

As a CG also this post actually makes me angry.

i was experiencing issues around the time of the birth of my little one and leading up to the 1st bday.

whatever my state and I must stress was serious the wellbeing of my family was always paramount, particularly my child.

protect yourself at all costs as he is clearly too selfish to help
