Hi everyone.
I don’t know who I am anymore. I’ve spent every single penny the last 6 months on gambling. I’m a mum of 2 and have a good job and all my money is gone. I haven’t paid any bills for 6 months, I’ve got debt collectors chasing me.
I got paid on Tuesday. I’ve lost £1700 in 2 days. ... I just hate myself and can’t see a way out

Step 1) ban the sites

Step 2) beg, borrow and steal to see you through to the end of the month

Step 3)  Contact all creditors explain situation

Step 4) confide in someone you trust to help you manage the urges / money

Step 5) mark 30 days on the calendar , then 60 , then 90

Change nor recovery comes over night its a slow gradual process to rewire the mind

@maxmaher would disagree with me even though he deleted his comment on my old post!, but you can request debt to be written of by speaking to your creditors. Gambling is an illness and considered a disability when it becomes a problem. Hence why we say 'compulsive gambling' like we say 'OCD'.

Wishing you the best going forward
