For some reason Gamcare deleted my old account when the migration to this god awful new forum happened
Anyway just stuck my head in to see the same old stories
I’m noticing a lot of people asking “how do I replace that buzz”
In my opinion gambling is a form of adrenaline release combined with a natural urge to try and “win” & chase losses all these things combined it releases a chemical cocktail in the brain that cannot easily be “replaced”
Nobody likes losing everyone thinks they are going to win and if everyone did win this forum wouldn’t exist.
I think the only true way to stop gambling is to completely change your life from top to bottom that could mean anything from changing job to emigration to a country that doesn’t allow it
To me any other measure seem futile because at the end of the day if the gambler wants that buzz then he will find a way to get it.

gamcare "moderation" deleted the vast mjority of what i posted in this probably because they didn't want people to hear the bitter reality of the life of the gambler

another terrible example of this overly politically correct society

Hi GMBT .

I think it's far better to gradually reduce your need for the buzz by simply doing other things you enjoy and perhaps revisiting thing's you used to do until you reach a point where the buzz is generated by life itself ?.

I didn't read your original post so don't feel able to comment on that .

Wish you well
