I'm 50 and been gambling since I was 15. I must have gambled hundreds of thousands of pounds and it's caused real pressure on my marriage. Thankfully I still have my house and job. My last bet was on 11th November 2018 but I am very angry with myself and banks and bookmakers allowing this to happen.
well done on your new found freedom.no point beating yourself up,it changes nothing.pat yourself on the back for seeing the light.i to was a child gambler. and also lost similar amounts to you. currently GF for 37days after a relapse where i had just gone over the 6month mark. For people like us, there are dangers around every corner. stay strong!!!
Thanks Tamber. I really thought after 5 months that I'd put it behind me but I will certainly heed those warnings. Don't want to go back to my old ways. Need to build trust back in my marriage. I've not been the perfect husband because of this illness.
