I admitted I had a problem and have just decided to do something about it. I registered with gamcare bk in 2015 although never commited to it would just have a look at forums and leave. Last week I decided I had enough of the lying, guilt I was feeling and finacially wasnt giving the best I could to my Children. I hate too think how many thousands I've wasted over the last 10yrs. I have hidden it from every family member and friend. I couldn't take It anymore and decided to come clean to my boyfriend of 3yrs. He was extremely supportive ( thankful I didnt have access to his money). I had my first 1-1 session yesterday. And today braved phoning Stepchange to add debt to my DMP. It was incredibly tough to gain the courage to talk to them and now I feel emotionally shattered but am hoping I will beat the addiction, Im still too ashamed to tell my family and friends but hoping with support I can enjoy life again.
