Ok I didn't gamble this weekend only because I don't have any money. I am 1.5 wks away from filing bankruptcy and middle of the week gambled away the money that I needed for my court appt. My mind knows better but...I used to be financially secure but over the past 5 years I ruined any chance of ever retiring or having financial security. Gambling was an escape that I loved but it didn't love me back! I've prob gambled over $200,000 in 5 years! So sad and depressed.

i'm in the same position. maybe we can help eachother in our time of need, my friend? i am 21 and feel suicidal i have 1700 worth of debt and feel so ashamed i can't even look at my own reflection, i've cried myself to sleep and i feel like i'm setting myself up to fail. how do i stop this? if there's anyway i can help you please let me know.

Hi Queen,

I'm really sorry to hear you're in this situation. BUT.. you have come to the right place so a massive well done for that. It's never truly too late. I'd suggest starting small and collaborating with others sharing the problem as they'll support you and help you through the tough times. You must get software blocker incorporated, K9 is a perfect example and will desert yourself away from the possibilities of online gambling which is a great start.

It's vitally important you set up a budgeting plan in order to try and turn your finances around, it's one step at a time so try saving a small amount and build this up when the finances slowly start increasing. Resorting to gambling isn't the answer to this, you MUST stop or else that hole will get bigger and bigger still.

I'd suggest talking to a GamCare advisor or seek councelling to discover any underlying issues.
