Hello,

In the month of September I managed to earn about XX pounds trough sports betting and roulette, money that I lost in a matter of 20 minutes in one night. It has been an awful experience since then and I am not yet fully recovered. I read some of the stories here and compared to me that I am overall on 0 with the casino it's nothing but I still feel awful and it's hard for me to move on from it.. Any advice on how to cope with it would help. I definitely learned my lesson.

@stefggg I think it really depends if you have the equivilent of a first hangover or if this is a recurring pattern.

If this is the first time that you've won a lot and lost it all back maybe that is a lesson enough, but if this has been going for a while maybe now you can see that you can't win. Even if you do win, you'll give it back eventually! That's the difference between a normal gambler and a problem(compulsive) one.

I would suggest that you take it as a lesson learned and just put the gambling away. If you can't then put some of the blocks that are available in place to help stop you placing that bet. After that you could join Gamblers Anonymous or call the Gamcare advisers.

Chris.
