Hi,

This is my first time attempting becoming free from my gambling addiction of 12 years. Previously I have just timed out for a few days to tie me other till payday, tomorrow is payday and I can no longer access as I've self excluded for 5 years and applied gamban.

My husband doesn't know and at the moment I will not share this with him. Not because I want to continue lying to him but because his not in a very good place mentally at the moment so I don't want to burden him with my problems.

My story all started 12 years ago, my mum had recently started plays online slots and won £5000 twice is the space of a couple of month. At the time I was young and on a low wage and thought wow I could do with some of that. Only in the 12 years I have never won more than a few hundred pound which in turn never actually turned out to be winnings cause I would flit to another site hoping I could use a bit to win there but then spend the lot plus more chasing my losses.

Me and my husband should live comfortably but we scrape by, he doesn't know I've been doing this, he thinks the wages just cover the outgoings and nothing left over where in fact we should have at least £1000 spare every month but no I end up having to scramble and try lend from my mum.

I've been reading on all this success stories and it's really spurred me on, I WILL overcome this and beat it. My children and family deserve it.  So here's to week 1 dusted and come at me week 2 I'm ready for you!!
