Hello Patrick11 and Welcome to the forum.

Yes you cant beat the bookies and its called gambling for a reason. The odds are that you will lose your money time and time again

You dont need it in your life so you need to sit down and think through what is really driving you. If you start looking at it like a drug addiction it makes more sense why you keep gambling

There is no shame in reaching out for help. You know its no good for you. Nobody is offering you free money on those odds or easy no brainer decisions. They are selling you a drug. Do you really want to be stood in a bookies which is a completely false environment. I see them as seedy dens and not for real socialising

Entertainment? Its not really is it? We were seeking the highs and even lows of gambling emotion which are addictive drugs to the system.

Its complex but your bank balance tells the truth. You need to face that truth and leave it alone. Plenty of other things to be doing in life.

Please tell trusted people close to you? Are you Truly ready to stop?

Best wishes from everyone on the forum

You could win many battles, but have got zero chance of winning the war. Give it up, gambling is an over rated past time. For a gambling addict, it can ruin you both financially and psychologically. When you are down, the addiction will ravage until you are a spent force!
