Hi oblech

I'm new here too. I'm the wife of a gambler, and so can only give you my perspective. My husband started Gambling as a teen. He never stopped. He hid it for years. I've heard every excuse about lost wallets, not been paid etc. After working all his life, buying a house, car etc, he is about to lose it all. He has destroyed not only our lives with the lying, bullying to get money etc. He has destroyed me in the process. The addiction is exactly that, like any other. It doesn't just impact the addict, it hurts the people who love you, if not now, then eventually. You already know and have admitted you have a problem, which is a great step to getting help to stop. But whatever you do....stop!

Advice - after a decade of gambling between my late teens and lates 20's i can assure you it will only get worse

i have a good handle on it now but gambling has set me back 4 in life ......4 years i will never get back that's without the time wasted obsessing over football games and spent at casino tables

It's all a massive waste of time money and energy

You cannot win even if you win you end up losing double a few months later it's futile

Help  > Sack it off put the energy into building a business or source of income

Best advice I can give you, seek help and support from pros and work out what your triggers are, bored, etc and speak to someone friend or family, I wouldn’t have at your age however support is very important.... good luck on your journey

Hi

I have been gambling for 36 years and wished I stopped earlier.

I don't gamble anymore and will be debt free in a few months.

You are young and have many years of fun and enjoyment, don't waste these years in gambling.

Get help now, get someone to look after your finances, take one day at a time and don't gamble.

Get a hobby and spend time on that.

Only you can do this, no one else can do it for you.

Good luck
