Today is 50 days that I haven't gambled! I can honestly say in the last 50 days I haven't missed gambling one bit! and for someone who would gamble a months wage on payday that is really saying something. Am I cured? certainly not! but each day I get through things do start to get easier. Hope and Willpower will only get you so far, my advice would be to educate yourself as much as you can not only on gambling but also the mind in general. The chimp paradox and the easy way to stop gambling audiobooks really helped with this. I am also going to enroll myself on the CBT course again as this really helped last time. I look forward to posting again in 50 days when I will be 100 days gamble free!
@seany26 Great accomplishment on 50 days Gamble Free. After 13 long years of gambling controlling my life, I am on Day 23 and feel great with the progress I've made, similar to yourself, using the CBT course, forums and understanding how gambling affects the mind.
