Well, we have hopefully cut off all sources for Gambling. Online Gambling Banned, all local shops banned and cash card excluded from being used in a betting shop or any form of Gambling machines casinos etc, thanks you Halifax bank, more banks should do this.   And reduced daily spending limit on his card  not that he has his card, however still not taking any risks. It is a methodical process, he finds a loop hole, I keep closing them.

Although, Next step, deal with the issues underneath why he gambles. He has always used Gambling to hide away from what is bothering him, now he will have to face it. Anyone who Gambles does so for a reason, the Gambling is simply the symptom of a much deeper issue. This is not always as easy to solve.

On a lighter note happy new year. And good luck to everyone either supporting a gambler or who is a gambler wanting to stop.

Hi.... and happy new year...Iv'e literally just written the below in my diary. I thought it might be of  some incite as to "next steps"...

"I had a nice christmas. No talk of gambling, just enjoyed good food and good company. I didn't have any money but I didn't need any. All that was required was my presence and at no point was i put under any pressure to come up with any money. Eat drink and be merry was the order of the day. My family have become wise to my gambling addiction. They know how to help me. No money, no talk of money, no bailouts, no questioning, no statements of disappointment... (they know I have low self-esteem). They observe how I am handling my problem or not as the case may be. The best way to help me is to do and say nothing, which for many families might be a very hard thing to do but for me it sure does help me to take responsibility for MY problem."

Regards... S.A
