After being manipulated out of 7k over a year, from someone I use to work with I blocked him.
I didn’t block him earlier cos I thought if I do I will never see my money and he used that and other things to get more money.
Fast forward he kept trying to reach me through no caller ID
For about 3 months he stopped
Then I go no called ID again, and thought he moved on on after a year without me so wonderd what it was about so called backer
Usual story i don’t gamble look at life differently now etc.
I’m astonished by the lengths he goes to get money hours chatting to me, I think fake messages from his ex showing me, invite me to house, is he not scared I could tell his wife etc
Anyway I blocked him again, just out of cursioty what must he be going through?
Why’s he so desparte to gamble every penny I have and also get me into debt etc what’s so good about gambling to him,

I don't know how to explain it to a none gambler. It's like you have several avenues to explore, to finance your addiction, trying to convince others that your problem is theirs & suck them into your world. CGs will stop at nothing to finance their addiction.
Look after yourself & your finances, investing in someone else's recovery is a high risk business. He is probably not a bad person simply someone who's totally addicted to gambling. Steer clear of more heartbreak, take care of yourself & remember an untreated CG will stop at nothing to finance the next gamble.
