Just found out my hubby to be is gambling I've known this for months as his behaviour changed he stopped supporting the house hold bills and when ever asked he denied it.

So he's now shown my his bank account and has said he's blocked all the online accounts for betting all my trust has gone for many reasons.he doesnt think it's a problem and can do it without any support.

I'm at my wits end, I'm currently struggling with my mental health due to loss of work and my family health I don't have the strenght to support someone who thinks it's easy to crack gambling.

Hello Angel wings,

Welcome to the GamCare forum. We're sorry you're going through this. It sounds like your husband is now being honest with you about the extent of his gambling, but you're worried that he's not taking recovery seriously enough. And you're already struggling with your mental health so you don't need added stress on top of that.

You've done the right thing by reaching out for support here. We're sure you'll soon receive support from other forum users. In the meantime, we hope you are receiving support for your mental health. Your GP can be the first point of contact for access to specialist support, and the NHS have stressed that even during the COVID-19 situation it is still important not to put off getting help for other conditions and problems.

We've got some resources on our website which you may find helpful:

You're also welcome to contact us on the Helpline 0808 8020 133 if you haven't already. We can provide free 1:1 support to you, whether or not your husband is ready to accept help.

Keep posting,

Deirdre
