My son worked so hard to earn and save £** and it's all gone in 2 months. He has also won close to £** which has also been lost. He admitted everything last night and said he would stop and self exclude etc. This morning at 7am he said he had £** in an account and played roulette and won £** and said that's it. Within 10 minutes he lost the lot. I'm getting lots of tears and hysteria but I'm not sure of practical ways of helping the online temptation. He isn't in debt yet but I suspect on the road...any help or advice would be hugely appreciated.

Take control of his cards. And make sure he can be open about everything. It only ends in one way. Please support him, I know you willl.

Hello @jdiver

Welcome to the forum. So sorry to read about your son. As well as looking at his access to money there are lots of other options which can help prevent him from gambling. There is also free treatment and support, both 1:1 and group options. A lot will depend on whether he is ready to accept help, but whether he is or not, the support is also there for you as his parent. You would be very welcome to give us a call on the HelpLine on 0808 8020 133 or chat to us 1:1 on the NetLine if you would like to talk it over.

Best wishes
