Hi all,

Will just cut to the chase I'm self excluded from l*******s partner sites but while I was self excluded I had an account with l*******s still open and able to deposit, which shouldn't be allowed.

I've recently complained as I blew £500 in 3 days and this is there response.

We have coordinated with our Responsible Gambling Team who confirmed that your Coral account's Self Exclusion was applied prior to the implementation of the Crossbrand Self Exclusion. Due to that, I regret to inform you that you will not be eligible for any refund. As much as I would like to help however I am afraid that this decision will be final.

Anyone know of this rule actually being legal?

Where do I stand in regards to this, I've asked for a second review of my complaint.

Any help would be appreciated.

Neil

Hi Neil,

You have asked for a review and you may wish to get legal advice if you would like to take your complaint further.

This site focuses on recovery from problem gambling and maybe you would like to introduce yourself here and let us know more about your story regarding problem gambling.

All the best to you

Hi mate,

i wouldn’t even bother with the complaint. Just think, if you did say get a refund, what would you do with it? If it was me in that position a few years ago I would have just gambled it again seeing the money as a second chance. That £500 might be the best money you’ve ever spent. Just keep self excluding by signing up to Gamstop, Gamban and multiple shop self exclusions.

Good luck,

Dan

Agree with Dan,

The fact that you are on a gambling problem help forum trying to get support on recouping funds shows there is something that needs to be addressed.

i am not having a go,  I’ve been there, done that many many times.

The money is gone and you won’t be getting it back..time to draw a line in the sand and see it for what it is a relapse.  Yes there is an argument it shouldn’t have been allowed to happen but they’ll have loopholes as to why they don’t have to pay you back.

Gamban is a block,  but it’s not bullet proof.  I’d suggest handing over your finances to someone sooner rather than later so there is no possibility of your being able to deposit funds if you do manage to access a site.

It’s a tough step to take but will be the best thing you do.  Took me until my second big mess up to see this and now I’ve just passed the one year mark.

Stay strong and best of luck to you
