Hi

Yes good but the strength and serenity comes from knowing you can never be complacent.

Keep working on it and discussing your feelings. If anybody close is monitoring you (and they should be) take pride in giving them reports on your finances.

As long as you realise this has little to do with willpower on its own, that is more than half the battle.

Its an addiction that bides its time and the wrong set of circumstances could and will leave you vunerable so you have to plan against that until your mind feels super strong...even then I feel I will have to say I am a compulsive gambler in recovery for the rest of my life

Im crystal clear now that gambling is simply harmful to me...therefore why would I do it again?!

Its not so much about counting the days once you have the strongest foundations in place. Its more about the mind healing and resetting the mind. The days will pass and your main hobby is actually finding yourself again and what really makes you tick.

Best wishes from everyone on the forum

Keep reminding yourself how bad you felt pal because that feeling goes away and you let your guard down. Good luck
