Lived Experience Forum

What is the Lived Experience Forum?

The Lived Experience Forum is a group of people who have been affected by gambling related harm which helps to influence wider developments in the prevention, support, and treatment of gambling harms at GamCare.

The forum brings together a group of people that have lived experience of gambling related harms, either from their own gambling or from someone else’s, to share stories and insights to help shape our services.

People that have been supported by GamCare and our treatment partners also attend the forum and provide feedback on our services so we can continue to develop and improve how we support people affected by gambling related harms.

The forum actively take part in consultation and co-production across GamCare services that include business development, industry services, criminal justice, and quality. Members also have the opportunity to represent GamCare in the media and within policy influencing events, which ensures that the voice of those with lived experience is at the forefront of everything we do.

GamCare is looking for people aged 18+ who live in the UK and have lived experience of gambling harms to join our online Lived Experience Forum.
