GamCare helps sixth-formers understand problem gambling

The Wellcome Trust invited GamCare’s contribution to their online teaching resource aimed at sixth-form pupils. Specifically they wanted to know if a client would agree to talk about their experiences on film.
After much exploration and discussion, one of our clients offered to participate and we stipulated the conditions under which this involvement would take place. For example, our client, Stuart, knew that he could pull out at any time, and that we would see any footage before distribution. The film is available to view on the Wellcome Trust website and teachers will be alerted to it through packs which are distributed. It is also on YouTube. Stuart is happy to have taken part and is pleased with the result. He continues to have our support.
