ICM conducts a qualitative research project on FOBTs on behalf of the ABB
2 December 2008
ICM is conducting a qualitative research project on behalf of the Association of British Bookmakers. This project will be assessing how clients use and play virtual gaming machines in bookmakers (FOBTs) as part of their wider repertoire of gambling behaviour. ICM wants to provide the ABB with an independent review of attitudes and behaviour around FOBTs. Their methodology has various components, including interviewing customers within betting shops. As part of the review ICM would also like to seek the views of problem gamblers to find out how the machines have impacted on their gambling.
About ICM: ICM was founded in 1989 and has been conducting social and opinion research since this time, for clients in the public and private sectors. For more general information see www.icmresearch.co.uk.
About ABB: the ABB is the trade association for high-street, off-course, bookmakers in Britain.
