Hi tara,

I have moved your thread to the "recovery diary" section and hope this is OK. You are more likely to gain ongoing support here and it will help us keep the "new members" section for the newcomers.

All the very best to you

Hi Tara, just keep taking deep breaths and get through a day at a time at the moment.

Hi Tara, well done on stopping and hope all goes well for you. Do you have any gambling blockers installed on your devices? I find that they have helped me a lot.

Hello tara,

People are reading even if they don't always post.

I know myself since quitting gambling i've found a few areas i want to change to be happy and why shouldn't we choose what we really want to do with ourselves? If it doesn't feel right then don't pressure yourself about it. Compulsive gamblers really know its never just about money.

Just focus on not gambling and blocking it as much you can.

All the best, i'll be around =)

Good luck Tara. As the days notch up you might find yourself becoming addicted to the number of days you’re notching up and being scared to go back to 0!

Keep going. Eventually it’s going to be harder to gamble than it is not to gamble! Once you rationalise it, the idea of risking even £50 of your own earned money will make you feel sick before you even do it!! You’ve had a lapse and you know the triggers - next time you feel that way pour yourself a glass of wine, run a bath and lock the door for an hour!
