Hi

I'm crying as I'm writing this. I can't believe how much gambling take over my emotions and life. I had lost a bit of money in the past and it upset me enough to close accounts. I stopped for a period of time or only gambled £20 a month which I knew I could afford to lose. Recently I won big and that has given me a new urge to play but whatever I win I know I won't be happy with as I'm chasing that big win. I have lost a few hundred this month and all I want to do is chase it and win it back. It's all I can think about. Can someone help xx

Hi elshaw

Youv took the first big step and came to the right place. Alot of people are going through the same emotions as you and you will find alot of support here. You need to want to stop completely and never gamble again. Even with £20.00 a month because we all know once we win it won't stop there and we will constantly be chasing. And it's emotionally draining. Have you put any blocks in place?

If your feeling down and need to speak to someone you can call gamcare or talk through netline?

There really good and can help you on your journey.

Hello eleshaw, sounds like you early into gambling. Which hopfully means that you can easily turn this around. Self exclude from all gambling. Accept the loss. Mabye put it down to a bad investment that didnt work out. Let it go. Move on. Its the only way.

Thank you. I have self excluded from so many accounts but there is always another you can open. I get better and then there is an advert or email which makes me think of it again.

I'm feeling better already by writing it down and sharing with you.
